Strategy Development in Scotland

Scottish Planners’ Interest Group - strategy development

Lead: Alison Watson - RGU

Planners in HEIs across Scotland will be involved to different degrees in setting strategy, setting annual mechanisms to ensure implementation of that strategy, monitoring performance and reporting on that performance to their Governing body. This group is open to planners at all levels to share our experiences and good practice. The group will include discussion on, but won’t be limited to, the following:

Methods for setting strategy

Effects of the external environment on strategy (links with Outcome Agreements)

How do we make sure that the strategy is implemented?

Business Plans

Key Performance Indicators

The reporting mechanisms that are used – frequency and methods of reporting

Relationships with other university departments

Join the conversation on our dedicated discussion board page.
