The Higher Education Strategic Planners Association meets bi-annually with representatives from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE).
The meetings provide a forum to discuss proposed regulatory changes and the impact of these on the strategic and operational functions of individual institutions.
Where key areas of discussion are identified, HESPA aims to work with HEFCE to provide focus groups enabling key staff from a wide range of higher educational establishments to meet, with a shared aim of understanding both the underlying requirements and the impact on institutions. Our last meeting with the Funding Council took place on 2 October, 2014, and notes can be found on this Q&A session in Resources.
In addition to these bi-annual meetings, HESPA also attends HEFCE's AGM - notes from which are shared in 'Resources - Reports' for our members. Please see the latest notes from the most recent AGM on 16 October.
If you have any questions that you would like us to put to HEFCE representatives, please send them to Craig (email@example.com). We would also be pleased to hear of any related topics or areas of concern that you think could form the basis for future workshops or events.
