Clare Foyle will be joined by experts from Forbes Solicitors for this session titled EDI risk and the law. The session will explore EDI risk, the legal context while offering some case studies from the sector. There will be time to discuss and ask questions.
About the presenters
Clare Foyle is the Head of Strategy Delivery Account Management at UCL and coordinates strategic risk for the institution. She has worked in higher education for over 15 years in strategic planning roles and is the chair of the risk special interest group for HESPA.
Laura McHugh is a Partner with over 13 years' experience in employment and HR matters, specialising in advising clients in the Education sector. Laura has considerable experience of working with institutions in both the HE and FE sector as well as schools, academy trusts and sixth-form colleges.
Laura deals with both contentious and non-contentious matters and has particular expertise in handling complex discrimination and whistle-blowing employment tribunal claims. As well as having experience of the full spectrum of employment law issues, including restructures, TUPE and industrial relations, Laura also regularly advises clients on student matters in addition to governance and safeguarding issues.
Catherine Hare qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and has practised in employment law since that time. Catherine has acted for both Claimants and Respondents and has worked both in private practice and in-house. Catherine is now a Professional Support Lawyer providing technical support and legal updates to the Frobes employment law team.
