Welcome to the HESPA 2025 ‘All-In’ Conference.

Power up (noun): an item in a video game that makes a player's character more effective by enhancing an attribute (such as speed, health, or strength) or conferring an ability.

Our theme this year is “Planners power up”. Whilst we can’t offer you sneakers that give you super speed or power pellets that let you evaporate ghosts, we invite you to a select from a smorgasbord of planning-related alternatives. Enhanced influencing skills?  Using data to drive decision making? Understanding global pressures? With sessions designed to inform, energise, spark curiosity, and empower, we hope you can join us for a well-deserved power up.

No matter what level you are playing at, we’ve got you covered. Our Autumn All-in conferences are institutional access events, with something for everyone in the planning team.

Planners are agile and resourceful, they adapt to challenges and embrace a wide range of responsibilities.  The role of a planner is dynamic and challenging, requiring adaptability and resilience.  Their ability to switch gears, solve problems, and keep initiatives on track makes them indispensable in fast-changing environments. We hope the conference sessions provide the space to recharge, gain fresh perspectives, and renew your energy, helping you continue to excel in your work with confidence and clarity.

This virtual conference brings together sessions that explore the operating environment while offering support to strategy and planning professionals so that they feel equipped to thrive.

Please dip in and out of sessions, join the networking opportunities and develop new relationships, ask questions or sit back and listen.

Whatever you choose, our aim this year is to give you a boost.

We will be releasing the full programme soon, so watch this space - we already have some great speakers confirmed though, including Vivienne Stern (UUK), Chris Hale (University of Otago, Aotearoa New Zealand) and Amanda Oliver (Committee of University Chairs) amongst others.
