Feedback

HESPA is committed to making its events as sustainable as possible. Below you will find more information about our efforts. Please note that in a bid to reduce the amount of potential waste, there will be less sponsored “freebies” than you may be used to – so please come prepared.

Conference brochure

Information about the conference will be available via our conference app. Hard copies will not be available as default. If you would like a hard copy of the conference brochure, please ensure you tick the appropriate box when booking your conference ticket.

Lanyards and name badges

We know how useful name badges and reminders about workshop choices can be, so we have chosen to keep our conference lanyards and badges, however the lanyards we’ve chosen are made from recycled plastic and badges are made from recycled cardboard.

Travel

Group transfers between the accommodation and conference venue will be provided free of charge to reduce individual journeys.

Banners

Event banners will be changed this year to ensure they are as sustainable as possible. We are still looking into options for cardboard banners and we have kept frames from previous events which can be reused with new content.

Bags, water bottles, pens and other promotional items

We have decided not to offer free bags, water bottles, pens and other promotional items. Please, therefore, ensure that you bring what you need with you. We will have a small supply of promotional items from previous events available which you can help yourself to if needed, but these will not be available as default.

A special request

Making the decision to eliminate freebies from our conference has a large impact on the packages we can offer our sponsors. This will be our first year without these promotional items and we ask that you help us to make this greener approach a success by engaging with our sponsors at their exhibition stalls. Their support enables us to continue offering our conference tickets at fantastic value, and your HESPA subscription costs low. Let’s all do our bit.
