A Transformational Data Platform Project
Date: Wednesday 21 September, 14:00 - 15:00
Presenters: Kiran Bahra, Director of Planning & Insight, London Metropolitan University
Description:
We are delighted to have LMU share with us the work they have been doing to develop a Data Platform to connect disparate data sources and drive data centred decision making at London Metropolitan University.
In their words, “it has enabled colleagues at every level of the University, including the Senior Leadership team, Registry, Finance and Academic staff better understand our data and our students, and make smarter, faster decisions with a high degree of confidence.
It has also helped to drive process improvements and data quality for statutory reporting.
The communication and contextualisation of data at different levels of granularity makes it possible to interrogate metrics in great detail and identify where to focus effort in order to improve as a University.
This is a fantastic example of how cross departmental collaboration and team working can bring about significant institutional change, in a short amount of time, and during a pandemic.
The impact of the project continues to grow and help the University deliver its strategic objectives, answer previously unanswerable questions and most importantly support our students.
