Risk Resources

The HERMN are working to pull together a range of materials to help members find resources, event recordings and inspiration that will support strategy work.

If you have additional materials that you would be happy to share please email them to Lisa.

HESPA Recordings and presentations

National and international risk registers, and cross-sector risk reviews

News sources that may be useful for horizon scanning in HE

Community risk registers

Community risk registers are produced jointly by multi-agency emergency response partners (blue light services, local authorities, utilities, voluntary agencies and others) working collaboratively under the auspices of what is known as a Local Resilience Forum (LRF) which is usually based on English police force boundaries (there are slightly different arrangements in Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).

The Gov.uk webpage hosts links to most LRF websites, and will often have useful risk-related resources.

Higher Education risk registers

These provide an overview of risks in HE, often by taking a sample of institutional risk registers and comparing these, extracting common themes and emerging risks.

Templates

These templates are simply offered as examples, you are welcome to adapt and develop them to meet your needs. We recognise that one size does not fit all but hope that the sharing of these templates might help save time. If you are happy to share your own templates please do send them to Lisa with a brief description and we can start to grow this resource. Templates are anonymised (unless the links are to open access institutional webpages).

Risk Management Policies

Alongside the risk resources above several of the other HESPA Special Interest Groups are developing resource pages to support the community
