Scottish Funding Council Interactions

Scottish Funding Council Interactions Group

Lead: Ester Rustuc – St Andrews

A significant part of what most Planners do is associated with policies, processes and requests from the SFC. The SFC have stated their intention to work more closely with the sector to make improvements and reduce burden. To make the most of the opportunities to collaborate and influence better outcomes, Scottish Planners set up a working group, Scottish Funding Council Interactions (SFCIG).

The SFCIG is led by Graeme Duff, University of Stirling, and Ester Ruskuc, University of St Andrews and working with the SFC it will engage with a range of matters where appropriate such as:

· the SFC Review of Coherent Provision and Sustainability in Further and Higher Education;

· making indicative/final/other funding releases more accessible and more readily comparable;

· Outcome Agreements;

· statistical and ad-hoc returns;

· controlled and non-controlled population management;

· funding initiatives.

The Group will meet virtually 3-4 times a year or when there is a need.

Please use the dedicated discussion board here as an informal way to raise questions or discuss. We also have a space for relevant documents in the resources area.
