Having worked in the higher education sector for more than ten years, Jen joined HESPA in September 2014 as its first official staff member. She has since worked to develop HESPA's profile and to professionalise strategic planning in the sector, ensuring that the voice of planners is heard and represented in sector-wide discussion and debate. Jen has led the transformation of HESPA's membership services, increasing the provision of strategic planning-related training and forging stronger links between members to enable more collaborative, efficient and effective working practice. Jen is heavily involved in external stakeholder liaison and ensuring that clear pathways exist for members to also engage externally. Advocacy also forms a large part of Jen’s role with HESPA, particularly now at such an interesting, challenging and transformative time in the sector.
Prior to her role with HESPA, Jen worked at the Universities of Leicester and Nottingham in various marketing, communications and international roles.
Jen is a qualified practitioner of PRINCE2 and MSP. Before the education sector, she worked as a journalist and PR consultant in London and Islamabad.
