Simon is the Executive Director of Strategic Planning at the University of Greenwich with a wide remit that covers performance reporting, strategy programme management, business intelligence, insight, student numbers, statutory reporting, data quality and governance, academic workload planning and student surveys.
After starting off in academia at Durham University, Simon spent time working in strategy and policy in national and local government sectors and in monitoring and evaluation in international development including running research projects overseas. He returned to HE to work in the planning function with roles at Middlesex and Greenwich. Simon has a particular interest in impact and evaluation and the application of tools such as theories of change.
